BTC Weekly - 7/10/2023

Hi all,

What a weekend! First, I know not everyone achieved their goals. That isn't ever easy but we can always learn and improve. If goals were always easily achievable, there would be no challenge and we would never grow. Learn, challenge, grow and go get that goal next time!

However, we did have some amazing performances from our team. The weather was hot but, overall, we achieved so many PRs (personal records) that it really blew me away. Not only that, we but had a few athletes set new Region 11 records! Congrats to those who made the trek and gave it their all.

If you have any pictures you would like to share that we can post on our social media account, please send them over to chad@bozemantrackclub.org!

Big Sky State Games

Registration has closed. However, I'd like to make sure you have the equipment you need. Please let me know if you are going to BSSG and are in the field events. We'll have at least one coach there, but we'd like to make sure you have the proper implements. I'll be unavailable since I'll be at a wedding.

USATF Nationals in Eugene - July 24-30

If you finished in the top 8 at Regionals, you are eligible to continue on to the National meet in Eugene, OR. As a youth athlete, I was able to run at Hayward Field many years ago. It was an excellent experience and I recommend it for those who can make the trek.

Of note: we may not have coaches available for an athlete's event. Plan on being prepared on your own. I realize that can present challenges so please ask questions of the coaches in advance at the next few practices!

Little Bobcat Track

MSU’s Bobcat Track and Field Association is hosting 3 track meets on Wednesdays (12th, 19th, 26th) starting at 5:30 pm. They are geared toward kids under the age of 12. Have a young sibling? Go run with them and cheer them on! These meets are free and based on the run-jump-throw program.

Have a great week and see you tomorrow.
